Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) has introduced eight new HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers, designed to deliver next-level security, optimize workload performance, and enhance operational efficiency with AI-driven automation. These enterprise-grade servers will feature the upcoming Intel Xeon 6 processors, catering to data center and edge computing environments.

“As enterprises face increasingly data-intensive workloads, our latest HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers provide the power, security, and intelligence they need to operate efficiently while managing costs and sustainability goals,” said Krista Satterthwaite, SVP and GM of Compute at HPE. “This modern platform is built for today’s hybrid world, ensuring businesses stay ahead of security threats and performance demands.”

The HPE ProLiant Gen12 series sets a benchmark for security with built-in protections at every stage, from manufacturing to deployment. Featuring the new HPE Integrated Lights Out (iLO) 7, these servers introduce a dedicated secure enclave, an HPE-exclusive security processor designed to counter cyber threats and ensure compliance with high-level encryption standards, including FIPS 140-3 Level 3.

HPE’s chip-enhanced security uniquely differentiates its ProLiant servers by embedding trust into the hardware, preventing firmware threats, and ensuring secure supply chain oversight. Additionally, HPE Onsite Decommission Services supports secure lifecycle management, including responsible recycling of decommissioned hardware.

With HPE Compute Ops Management, enterprises can automate and optimize server performance using AI-driven insights. This cloud-based platform enhances energy efficiency, predicts power usage, and enables real-time cost control, helping organizations reduce operational overhead and environmental impact.

New global map-based monitoring simplifies server management by providing real-time visibility into system health, while seamless third-party integrations help minimize downtime—reducing annual server outages by up to 4.8 hours. For organizations evaluating future infrastructure investments, HPE Power Advisor provides data-driven estimates on power consumption, operational costs, and carbon footprint.

The HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 portfolio is built to handle high-performance workloads, including AI, data analytics, hybrid cloud, and edge computing. With up to 41% improved performance per watt over previous generations, these servers drive greater efficiency while cutting power consumption by up to 65% per year. One Gen12 server delivers the same computational power as seven Gen10 servers, freeing up valuable data center resources and reducing operational costs.

“Partnering with HPE allows us to provide cutting-edge, workload-optimized IT solutions to our customers,” said William Bell, EVP of Products at phoenixNAP. “Being the first to deploy HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers, we immediately saw improvements in performance, efficiency, and security—helping businesses scale with confidence.”

To meet the demand for energy-efficient data centers, HPE is introducing optional direct liquid cooling (DLC) for its Intel-based HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers. DLC technology removes heat up to 3,000 times more efficiently than air cooling, significantly reducing energy consumption.

With over 50 years of experience and 300+ patents in DLC technology, HPE continues to lead in sustainable computing, delivering the world’s fastest liquid-cooled supercomputers to date. Six of the eight new HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers—including DL320, DL340, DL360, DL380, DL380a, and ML350—will be available in Q1 2025, with additional models launching in Summer 2025.

Customers can purchase these servers as standalone solutions or through HPE GreenLake, offering flexible, scalable, and cost-effective IT infrastructure. HPE Services provides expert advisory, operational support, and asset management to help businesses maximize their IT investments.
