Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the launch of its most advanced private cloud portfolio, marking a significant leap in hybrid IT modernization. The company is set to redefine private cloud offerings through a combination of HPE Morpheus Software and nearly a decade of leadership in the sector. The latest announcements include key updates designed to help enterprises achieve cost efficiency, enhanced performance, and simplified IT management.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has expanded its private cloud portfolio with a series of strategic updates aimed at delivering significant cost efficiencies, flexibility, and streamlined operations for enterprises. Central to this expansion is the introduction of the HPE Private Cloud Business Edition, now integrated with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials. This integration supports multiple hypervisors and enables a self-service cloud consumption model. Notably, it offers up to 90% reduction in virtual machine (VM) license costs, leveraging the cost-efficiency of HPE’s disaggregated hyperconverged infrastructure (dHCI), which claims a 2.5X lower total cost of ownership.
The HPE Morpheus Software suite is now generally available and serves as the backbone of these enhanced offerings. This includes HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, tailored for managing virtualized workloads, and HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software, which provides unified cloud management capabilities across environments. By employing socket-based licensing, this software family is designed to further reduce operational costs while enabling consistent and scalable cloud management.
To complement the technology offerings, HPE has also introduced new Virtualization Modernization Services. These services are intended to simplify and accelerate the virtualization journey for businesses across various sizes and sectors. By addressing complexity in cloud transitions, HPE aims to ease the operational burden for IT teams and enhance infrastructure agility.
Fidelma Russo, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Hybrid Cloud at HPE, emphasized the urgent need for organizations to tackle rising virtualization costs and increasing IT complexity. She noted that HPE’s latest software and infrastructure solutions are crafted to provide superior simplicity and financial savings while granting businesses the agility to scale and innovate efficiently in today’s dynamic digital landscape.
The HPE Private Cloud Business Edition is a robust solution that unites disaggregated infrastructure with Morpheus VM Essentials. It supports both dHCI and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) configurations, offering architectural flexibility suited for a wide range of deployment environments—from edge locations to enterprise data centers. This adaptability allows organizations to optimize their infrastructure investments based on specific workload and performance requirements.
Among the key benefits of the new offering are its enterprise-grade virtualization capabilities, global deployment support, and AI-driven operational enhancements. The solution leverages automation and artificial intelligence to simplify setup and lifecycle management while predicting and proactively resolving up to 86% of potential system issues. With this suite of enhancements, HPE aims to redefine private cloud efficiency, making it a compelling choice for modern enterprises.
Roberto Valenta, Corporate Technology & Operations IT Manager at Aeropuertos Argentina, praised the solution: “HPE Private Cloud Business Edition has paid for itself through savings on legacy support, data center space, and energy efficiency. It powers critical workloads like flight tracking and enhances our customer service, helping us reduce wait times and improve airport operations.”
