Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the global launch of HPE VM Essentials, a cost-effective virtualization solution designed to offer customers greater flexibility while making it easier to transition to a hybrid cloud environment. The new solution is available exclusively through HPE’s channel partners, reinforcing the company’s commitment to a partner-led approach and enabling partners to assist customers with evolving virtualization strategies.
HPE VM Essentials allows businesses to manage virtual machines (VMs) deployed across both existing VMware hypervisors and the HPE VM Essentials hypervisor (based on KVM). The solution empowers customers to explore a more open and cost-effective approach to virtualized infrastructure with the support of HPE’s extensive partner network.
Amer Warsi, Senior Director of the Channel Partner Ecosystem at HPE India, shared, “The launch of HPE VM Essentials brings a transformative virtualization solution that aligns with the needs of businesses in India. This cost-effective offering provides greater flexibility and value, addressing the demand for simplified hybrid cloud solutions. Our partner-led approach ensures that businesses can maximize their IT infrastructure with ease.”
The solution supports HPE ProLiant Compute Gen11 and the new Gen12 servers, offering customers reduced costs and complexity in virtualized environments. HPE is also expanding support for VM Essentials across its entire product range and plans to extend support to third-party systems.
Simon Ewington, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channel & Partner Ecosystem at HPE, commented, “The Channel-only approach for HPE VM Essentials capitalizes on the excitement surrounding virtualization. It gives customers choice and reduces their total cost of ownership, while strengthening our channel ecosystem to drive the success of HPE’s edge-to-cloud strategy.”
HPE VM Essentials aims to solve common challenges faced by organizations, including unanticipated cost increases, the need for lower-cost enterprise-supported virtualization, and concerns over vendor lock-in. The solution provides predictable, socket-based pricing, compatibility with both VMware and HPE’s hypervisor, and a path to hybrid cloud simplicity with an upgrade option to the Morpheus cloud management platform.
By adopting a Channel-only sales model, HPE ensures that its partners play a central role in delivering HPE VM Essentials to customers. This approach gives partners the opportunity to offer customers a reliable, cost-effective alternative for virtualization, while also creating value-added services to strengthen relationships and reduce total ownership costs.
