Honeywell is set to introduce sector-specific products under its Impact brand, which targets the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) segment. This strategic move aims to provide focused solutions tailored to the diverse needs of this burgeoning market, according to Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India.
Impact by Honeywell, designed for India’s growing mid-segment, currently offers a broad array of applications spanning building technologies, fire safety, electrical safety, energy management solutions, industrial sensors, and personal protective equipment (PPE). “We believe each sector or vertical has an MSME segment. Therefore, we will focus on areas such as Retail, Quick Service Restaurants or Hospitality, small industrial MSMEs, and the broader building space. Our goal is to understand their challenges and develop products to address them,” said Modi.
Honeywell is actively launching several new products under the Impact brand. Recent additions include Android-based point-of-sales machines, innovative camera products, and various software solutions. Over the past four years, the Impact brand has achieved consistent revenue growth of 30%, and Modi anticipates this growth rate will continue.
Impact by Honeywell has established a presence in 50 cities, with Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai being the top revenue-generating markets. The company aims to expand to 80 new locations and has already gained a foothold in tier-2 markets such as Ahmedabad, Kochi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Guwahati. Plans are in place to further penetrate the tier-2 and tier-3 market landscapes over the next two years.
The brand supports a network of 80 distributors and employs over 100 individuals, with 35-40% of the workforce consisting of engineers dedicated to innovation, research, development, and the delivery of quality solutions. Honeywell emphasizes its localization strategy, ensuring that its solutions are crafted in India, specifically for the Indian market.
