Honda Power Company announced on Monday that its subsidiary, Honda Power Pack Energy, has entered into a partnership with Bhago Mobility, a provider of sustainable transportation solutions, to launch green fleet management services for electric vehicle (EV) last-mile delivery.

Through this collaboration, Bhago Mobility will roll out electric vehicles equipped with Honda’s e-technology at key locations in Bangalore and Delhi, serving both e-commerce fleets and passenger mobility vehicles. The plan includes an initial deployment of 100 vehicles in 2024, with a target of expanding the fleet to 10,000 vehicles over the next three years.

The partnership will see Bhago Mobility setting up dedicated hubs offering round-the-clock service for electric cargo vehicles, all equipped with swappable battery packs. These hubs will be placed within a 10-kilometer radius of metro stations, ensuring easy access and reducing downtime for EV fleets. Honda Power Pack highlighted that the quick battery-swapping technology will boost the reliability of Bhago Mobility’s electric cargo vehicles, enhancing operational efficiency for last-mile deliveries.

Takuya Taniguchi, President and CMD at Honda Power Pack Energy India, stated, “We are marking World EV Day by launching our Honda e: Swap service with Bhago Mobility in Bangalore. This initiative is a step towards seamless delivery solutions and a significant contribution to the city’s green transition.” Aditya Goyal, founder of Bhago Mobility, added, “Our vision for sustainable transportation perfectly aligns with Honda’s goal to transform fleet management and last-mile delivery in India.”
