Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has taken a significant step into the electric vehicle (EV) sector with the launch of the ACTIVA e: and QC1 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This marks a new chapter for the iconic Activa brand and showcases Honda’s commitment to sustainable mobility. Bookings for these models open on January 1, 2025, with deliveries beginning in February 2025.
The ACTIVA e: combines it’s legacy with cutting-edge technology, featuring a sleek design, all-LED lighting, and advanced connectivity through a 7-inch TFT display integrated with the Honda RoadSync Duo® app. It also introduces swappable battery technology powered by Honda Mobile Power Pack e:, offering a range of up to 102 km*.
Riders can swap batteries at Honda’s BeX swapping stations in Bengaluru, Delhi, and soon Mumbai. The ACTIVA e: is driven by a high-performance motor delivering 6 kW* peak power and 22 Nm* torque, with three riding modes for tailored performance.
The QC1 caters to personal mobility with a sleek design, LED lighting, and five vibrant color options. It is powered by a 1.5 kWh fixed battery providing a range of 80 km* and can be fully charged in under seven hours. With its in-wheel motor offering 1.8 kW* peak power and 77 Nm* torque, the QC1 achieves a top speed of 50 km/h. Features like a 5-inch LCD display, USB Type-C charging port, and 26-litre under-seat storage make it ideal for daily use.
Both models will be manufactured at Honda’s Narsapura plant near Bengaluru and come with a 3-year or 50,000 km warranty, three free services, and free roadside assistance for the first year. Deliveries will start in February 2025 in select cities, with HMSI’s established dealer network ensuring a seamless customer experience.
