Honda 2Wheelers India, on occasion of Children’s Day, held a virtual webinar on road safety awareness across the country

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) celebrated Children’s Day by enlightening on road safety for the youth of the country. This road safety initiative refined over 5,500 students from age group of 6 to 15 years. HMSI reached out to about 42 schools in 19 cities and town, not only through physical training sessions, but also conducting virtual E-gurukuls.

Honda’s road safety instructors smartly managed to talk about topics related to road safety awareness, by comparing them to  practical examples the children do in schools and real life. Topics consisted understanding traffic light & signals, road safety signs and markings, safe pedestrian tips, safe cycling tips, and safe commuting in school bus.

Prabhu Nagaraj, Senior Vice President – Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd said, “Children are the real strength and foundation of society. These children will be the two-wheeler riders of tomorrow who will have a responsibility towards themselves as well as everyone around them. That’s the reason why we came up with ‘Be Safe, Be Smart’ programme for road safety awareness of children. We are glad to see a huge response from school students, which reflects their positive attitude towards safer roads for all.”

Mr Nagraj said that the company will arrange many such safety and awareness programmes in the future for all.
HMSI has been promoting road safety in India since 2001. Today, the awareness initiative has spread to over 41 lakh Indians, a press release said.
