In 2024, the Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) impacted over 2 million people through various social initiatives, rolling out programs in 26 states and 1,250 villages across India. Since 2020, the foundation has invested ₹400 crore in long-term community projects.
Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India Limited, emphasized the foundation’s efforts to tackle issues in education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability, with a focus on promoting self-reliance within communities.
HMIF’s programs generated over ₹40 crore in income benefits for local communities. Environmental projects included planting 21,000 trees, resulting in the reduction of 21,811 tons of CO2 emissions, while waste management initiatives recycled 752,250 kg of materials.
The foundation also awarded ₹3.38 crore in scholarships to students across India and assisted 481 individuals with disabilities through specialized programs. Additionally, since 2021, HMIF has granted ₹1.65 crore to support 150 artists from various disciplines.
