HL Klemove and HARMAN Join Forces to Develop Central Compute Platform for Next-Generation Vehicles

HL Klemove, a subsidiary of HL Group focused on autonomous driving solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with HARMAN, a Samsung Electronics subsidiary, to create a central compute platform essential for software-defined vehicles (SDVs). The collaboration was announced at CES 2025, showcasing a shared vision to integrate autonomous driving and infotainment systems using advanced cross-domain technology.

The agreement, signed on January 8, 2025, was attended by key leaders, including Yoon Pal-joo, CEO of HL Klemove; Hong Dae-geon, CTO of HL Klemove; Christian Sobottka, President of HARMAN Automotive; Huibert Verhoeven, Senior Vice President at HARMAN Automotive; and Armin Prommersberger, CTO of HARMAN International.

Together, the companies have developed and tested a fully integrated reference platform to demonstrate the potential of their technologies. This partnership aims to streamline vehicle design by combining autonomous driving and infotainment features on a unified hardware platform. Automakers will benefit from reduced costs, increased flexibility, and enhanced energy efficiency, while the platform ensures continuous software updates and robust safety standards.
