Hitachi Energy India Ltd. announced on June 25 that it secured a ₹790 crore order from its subsidiary, Hitachi Energy Australia Pvt. Ltd. The project is expected to be completed over four years. The company will deliver HVDC Light VSC stations, with some equipment produced in its Indian factory. In April, reports indicated that Hitachi Energy plans to open more global capability centers in India, targeting Hyderabad and Pune, to meet the growing energy demand and boost renewable energy production.

“We are considering Hyderabad and Pune for our new centers, which may take six months to a year to establish,” said Venu Nuguri, managing director and CEO of Hitachi Energy India, as reported by Reuters. The decision will depend on demand, with no financial details provided yet. Shares of Hitachi Energy India Ltd. were trading 3.44% higher at ₹12,000 each at 11:15 am on June 25.
