Hindustan Power has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Assam to invest INR 620 crore in solar energy and battery storage projects. The agreement was signed at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit in Guwahati.
As part of its expansion plan, Hindustan Power aims to develop a 5 GW energy portfolio over the next three years. The planned projects in Assam include a 100 MW solar power plant and a 100 MW battery energy storage system, with INR 500 crore allocated for the solar plant and INR 120 crore for the storage facility. These initiatives will be developed in collaboration with the state government.
