Hikrobot India made a strong impact at Automation Expo 2025, held from August 11–14 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Goregaon, Mumbai. Recognized as Asia’s largest event dedicated to automation, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain technologies, the Expo attracted leading industry players and innovators from across the country.
At the center of attention was Hikrobot India’s visually striking booth, which featured its latest innovations in Machine Vision and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). Among the key highlights were the debut of the 3D Laser Profile Sensor and the Smart Code Reader with Liquid Lens.
The 3D Laser Profile Sensor, utilizing laser triangulation, delivers real-time, micrometre-level precision through high-frame-rate point clouds, depth images, and intensity data. It’s ideally suited for high-precision, contactless inspection in sectors such as electronics, lithium batteries, and PCBs.
The new ID3000 Series Smart Code Reader delivers high-speed, reliable code reading for demanding industrial settings, featuring AI-powered recognition, a modular and scalable design, IP67-rated protection, and compatibility with multiple industrial communication protocols. It’s designed to meet the needs of industries including automotive, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, photovoltaics, electronics, and warehouse automation.
Hikrobot’s display also featured a comprehensive range of vision products including 3D Cameras, Area Scan Cameras, Smart Cameras, Smart Code Readers, and Handheld Readers. One of the standout innovations was the SC1000 Smart Camera, equipped with six key tools—Pattern Matching, Colour Detection, Object Counting, Measurement Tools, Logic Functions, and Basic OCR—for advanced visual inspection and detection tasks.
In the Mobile Robot section, the QF Series AMR, designed for pallet transportation, and the Tugger AMR, capable of autonomously towing trolleys, attracted significant interest from logistics professionals. These solutions are designed to optimize internal material handling and support smart logistics operations. Also showcased were Static and Dynamic DWS (Dimensioning, Weighing, and Scanning) systems, reflecting Hikrobot’s commitment to smart logistics and automation.
Ashish P Dhakan, MD & CEO of Prama Hikvision India, commented, “Industrial automation is playing a crucial role in advancing sustainability and smart manufacturing.
