Hexaware Technologies (NSE: HEXT), a global provider of technology and business process services, today announced a strategic partnership with Factory to bring agent-native software development capabilities to enterprise organizations across professional services, banking and financial services, and other key industries. The partnership will integrate Factory’s Droid platform into Hexaware’s global delivery ecosystem, enabling engineering teams to build, test, modernize, and manage software through AI-powered agents embedded within their existing development workflows. As part of this collaboration, Hexaware has deployed Factory Droids internally as a “Customer Zero,” using the platform within its own engineering environment to validate capabilities and establish best practices before extending the technology to clients.
As enterprises seek to accelerate software delivery, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives, agent-native development is emerging as a new model for scaling engineering productivity. Through the partnership, Hexaware will train and enable its delivery teams to deploy, configure, and manage Factory Droids in enterprise environments, helping organizations adopt AI-driven software engineering with the required levels of security, compliance, and governance.
The collaboration will focus on integrating Droids with enterprise software development lifecycle platforms, including GitHub, Jira, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, while supporting domain-specific agent configurations for regulated industries. Hexaware and Factory will also help enterprises establish governance frameworks, measure improvements in engineering velocity and quality, and create joint implementation teams to support early adoption and large-scale deployments.
Initial engagements will focus on industries where software complexity and governance requirements are particularly high. In professional services, Hexaware is applying Factory Droids to support legacy modernization, technical debt reduction, and large-scale refactoring initiatives. In banking and financial services, the partnership is helping organizations modernize applications while maintaining compliance standards required in highly regulated environments.
“We have seen significant momentum in adoption over the last three months. We prioritized training our senior developers, architects, and pod leaders on Factory, and they have become champions of the technology across the organization,” said David Corrado, SVP – Strategic Global Clients, Hexaware. “We are seeing 5x to 10x improvements in production-ready output while continuing to invest in the right guardrails and governance frameworks to ensure these agents operate efficiently and safely.”
Hexaware’s internal adoption of Factory Droids has supported initiatives including large-scale code refactoring, documentation generation, application migration, and repository consistency. These experiences are now shaping the company’s approach to helping clients adopt agent-native development with a balance of automation, control, and transparency.
“AI is transforming software delivery from a support function into an execution layer within engineering organizations,” said Kush Gupta, Global Head – Professional Services, Hexaware. “Through our partnership with Factory, we are enabling clients to apply software agents to complex engineering challenges while maintaining speed, consistency, documentation, and governance.”
“Hexaware proved the value of agent-native development within its own engineering environment before bringing the capability to clients,” said Matan Grinberg, Co-founder and CEO, Factory. “Their experience working with regulated industries and their global delivery expertise make them the right partner to help enterprises adopt this next generation of software development.”
Factory provides the platform enterprises use to build and operate their Software Factory, a continuous system that transforms signals into production software across the entire software lifecycle. The platform is model-agnostic, deployable from cloud environments to fully air-gapped systems, and enables organizations to maintain governance and engineering control while adopting AI-powered development capabilities. Founded in 2023 by Matan Grinberg and Eno Reyes, Factory is headquartered in San Francisco. Investors include Sequoia Capital, Blackstone, JP Morgan, NEA, Khosla Ventures, and Insight Partners.
