Hexaware Technologies, a global IT services and solutions company, has announced the launch of the Agentic AI Academy in collaboration with upGrad Enterprise, the corporate skilling arm of upGrad. The initiative is designed to prepare Hexaware’s global workforce for the emerging era of Agentic systems—autonomous, intelligent software agents capable of planning, adapting, and executing tasks in real time.
This program builds on Hexaware’s two years of investment in generative AI training, during which 95% of its employees have already been equipped with GenAI skills. With the Academy, Hexaware now aims to develop deeper expertise in Agentic AI, moving beyond automation to intelligent orchestration. Over the coming months, the company plans to onboard a large portion of its engineering and delivery teams, enhancing its service offerings across industries.
The Academy curriculum, developed jointly with upGrad Enterprise, combines structured role-based learning with practical applications. The training is organized into four tracks: Builder.AI for developers building agent architectures, Collaborator.AI for teams integrating open-source or platform-based solutions, and Manage.AI for delivery leaders overseeing agent-human collaboration. Each path integrates content, labs, and certification delivered through upGrad’s enterprise platform.
Vinod Chandran, Chief Operating Officer at Hexaware, said, “Agentic technologies are becoming core to enterprise operations. With Agentic Academy, we are enabling our teams not only to work with these systems but to lead engagements powered by them.”
Initial participants are already contributing to live client assignments involving Agentic systems. Satyajith Mundakkal, Chief Technology Officer, Hexaware, added, “We are moving from automation to intelligent orchestration. This shift demands new expertise, and the Academy equips our workforce to lead in this evolving space.”
Satyendu Mohanty, EVP & Global Head – Talent Management, Hexaware, noted, “To deliver large-scale transformation, organizations need a shared language and fluency across roles. The Academy creates that foundation, turning a technology trend into a lasting workforce advantage.”
upGrad Enterprise CEO SrikanthIyengar highlighted the partnership’s impact: “As Agentic systems reshape enterprise operations, speed of adoption is critical. Our role is to ensure this training delivers immediate, outcome-driven impact for both employees and clients.” With this initiative, Hexaware strengthens its commitment to building a future-ready workforce while advancing its role as a partner in large-scale digital transformation.
