Hexagon, the global leader in digital reality solutions that combine sensor, software, and autonomous technologies, today announced that Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence India has signed a business partnership with Bangalore-based computational software company Simyog Technology to bring SimYog’s Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) simulation to customers in India.

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence will take SimYog’s Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) simulation software to customers in India. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) contribute to a significant percentage of electronic/electrical hardware compliance failures in the verification stage. This leads to a loss of revenue due to a delay in time-to-market or cancelled projects and often increases the Bill-of-Materials (BoM) due to extra components added for a late-stage fix.

“Ever since its origins from the prestigious IISc, Simyog has built an impressive array of innovative products. The team has made some great strides, backed by investors like Bosch, Mela Ventures, Ideaspring Capital and 1crowd. SimYog products are already in use at several top 10 semiconductor, Tier-1, OEM and Defence companies,” said Sridhar Dharmarajan, Executive Vice President & Managing Director, Hexagon. “That’s why we believe that SimYog is a great partner for us at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. We look forward to creating a win-win situation for us and our customers.”

As a partner, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence will help SimYog expand its footprint in India by leveraging its extensive sales network and creating a marketing ecosystem. This will help our customers comply with this critical need and mitigate the risks arising from EMI/ EMC.

“Hexagon’s reputation for excellence and their industry-leading products aligns perfectly with our mission to enable agile for hardware design and provide cutting-edge Multiphysics solutions to the electronics and automotive industries,” said Dipanjan Gope, Chief Executive Officer, Simyog. “We are honoured to partner with Hexagon and confident that this partnership will allow us to showcase our offerings to new customers.”

SimYog’s flagship product, Compliance-scope (CompScope), is the world’s first “Virtual EMI/EMC laboratory” for predicting the Radiation Emissions (RE), Conducted Emissions (CE), Radiation Immunity (RI), and Conducted Immunity (CI) compliance tests. Users can predict EMC performance at an early design stage, before a prototype is generated, diagnose and fix the problem in design, therefore saving significant time-to-market and bill of materials (BoM) costs.

SimYog’s product line-up includes SEM-Scope, a specialised EMI/EMC simulation tool for integration-level testing, and MAX-Scope, a general-purpose 3D full-wave EM solver. Combined with Hexagon’s industry-leading technology and support, these solutions will empower engineers to optimise their designs and achieve superior performance.

Hexagon is the global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software, and autonomous technologies. They use data to boost efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, public sector, and mobility applications.  SimYog is a startup headquartered in Bangalore, India, with a mission to enable “Agile for Hardware Design”. Today, they are focused on providing EMI/ EMC simulation software for front-loading at the early design stage. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) contribute to a significant percentage of electronic/electrical hardware compliance failures in the verification stage.
