Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) has announced the winners of the 2025 Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam HPC Awards, recognizing excellence and innovation in High-Performance Computing (HPC) in India. Now in its eighth year, this prestigious event saw nearly 30 nominations, highlighting groundbreaking research and cutting-edge applications in HPC.
Named in tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam—India’s visionary scientist, former President, and Bharat Ratna awardee—these awards celebrate individuals and organizations at the forefront of HPC-driven advancements across multiple domains. HPE remains committed to fostering an active HPC community, encouraging innovative applications, advanced simulations, and HPC-powered solutions. The awards are overseen by an esteemed jury led by Professor Narayanaswamy Balakrishnan, Honorary Professor and former Associate Director at IISc Bangalore.

The awards are presented in four key categories: R&D in HPC Applications, R&D in HPC Systems (Hardware & Software), Efficient HPC Facility Design & Management, and HPC R&D and Facilities, recognizing excellence in high-performance computing across research, development, and operational efficiency.
