Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) has announced that Bhawna Agarwal has been appointed as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of HPE India, effective immediately. Bhawna will report to Heiko Meyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer.

She succeeds Som Satsangi, who is retiring after more than 27 years of dedicated service to the company. Som will remain with HPE until July 2025 to ensure a smooth transition of leadership. Som joined Compaq in 1997, and after HP acquired Compaq in 2002, he took on regional sales management roles within HP/HPE’s enterprise business. He was appointed Managing Director of HPE India in 2016, where he led the second-largest employee base in the company and helped achieve significant business milestones.

Bhawna, who joined HPE in 2019, previously led the Compute Business Unit and Growth team. For the past year, she has overseen Account Management and Industry Verticals for HPE India. With over 25 years of leadership experience across digital start-ups, media companies, and major consumer tech organizations, Bhawna is a seasoned business executive.

Bhawna and Som recently participated in the inauguration of HPE’s 6001st “Made in India” server, celebrating HPE’s contributions to the “Make in India” initiative alongside Indian IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Heiko Meyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, praised Som’s leadership and customer-centric approach, stating, “Som has been an expert counselor and a driven leader. While we will miss his leadership, Bhawna’s growth-oriented mindset and customer focus will continue to guide the company forward.”

Bhawna Agarwal expressed her excitement about her new role, saying, “It’s an honor to take on the role of Managing Director for HPE India. I look forward to building on the foundation Som has established and driving growth, innovation, and impact with our talented team.”
