Hero Future Energies (HFE) has officially launched a 29 MW solar power project in Chitradurga, Karnataka, marking a significant step in the company’s renewable energy portfolio. The project is expected to produce 33 million units of clean energy each year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 31,624 tonnes annually, as stated by the company. This open-access solar facility is designed to meet the energy demands of the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sector.

In addition to this project, HFE recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka, committing Rs 11,000 crore towards investments in renewable energy and green hydrogen initiatives across the state. Backed by major global investors such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and KKR, Hero Future Energies is a key player in the Hero Group’s renewable energy sector.
