HERMLE AG’s Open House Draws Record Attendance, Showcasing Innovation and Technology Advancements

HERMLE AG’s traditional Open House event concluded with resounding success, welcoming over 1,100 companies and 2,550 visitors, including 750 international guests, to its headquarters in Gosheim. Held over four days, the event served as a dynamic platform for industry professionals to engage in discussions, witness cutting-edge technology demonstrations, and explore innovative solutions for cost-effective production.

Delegations from more than 30 countries, including the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, France, the USA, Turkey, and Mexico, attended the event. Comprehensive advice and guidance were provided to visitors from Thailand, Malaysia, China, India, Taiwan, and numerous other countries, reflecting HERMLE’s commitment to global collaboration and knowledge sharing.

A highlight of this year’s Open House was the unveiling of the new Generation 2 models, marking the beginning of a comprehensive product update at HERMLE. The launch of three new models, namely C 650, C 32, and C 42, showcases HERMLE’s dedication to advancing machining technology and meeting the evolving needs of its customers. Over the next 18 months, all machine models will undergo conversion to the GEN2 architecture as part of a defined development process.

The automation sector, which plays a pivotal role at HERMLE, was prominently featured, with over 50% of HERMLE products now equipped with automation solutions. Various robot systems, storage solutions, and workpiece gripping/clamping options were demonstrated, highlighting the company’s commitment to enhancing productivity and flexibility in machining operations.

Attendees were treated to a diverse array of machining demonstrations, showcasing integrated technology solutions for various industries. Technologies such as power skiving, grinding/dressing, contour smoothing, reverse countersinking, and process optimization were integrated and demonstrated on components from different sectors, including aerospace, tool and mold making, mechanical engineering, and medical technology.

The event also featured a special show with over 40 exhibitors, providing visitors with insights into clamping technology, CAD/CAM solutions, and hardware/software for HERMLE machining centers. HERMLE’s application engineering team played a crucial role in facilitating discussions and addressing queries related to integrating new technologies and optimizing existing processes.
