"I am honored and pleased to lead Sandvik Coromant”, said Helen Blomqvist who will take charge as the new President of Sandvik Coromant succeeding Nadine Crauwels, from 1st December 2020. Hailing from Sweden, Helen holds a Ph.D. in Structural Chemistry from Stockholm University. As President, Helen will be responsible to enhance Sandvik Coromant’s leading position at the forefront of manufacturing tools, machining solutions, and cutting-edge technology that transform the manufacturing sector forward.
Helen will be a member of the Sandvik Machining Solutions Management Team and will report to Nadine Crauwels, President of Sandvik Machining Solutions. Helen Blomqvist is with Sandvik Coromant for the last 17 years and held various positions, heading Sales in Northern Europe, managerial positions in Research & Development, and Product Management.
In a media release, Helen stated that she is eagerly looking forward to working with Sandvik Coromant's management team, employees, and partners. “We will continue to develop our offering, our innovation power and to implement our strategy to lead the industry forward and shape the future of the manufacturing industry”, said Ms. Blomqvist. Joined as Research Engineer, Helen has a solid background with the Sandvik Coromant since 2003.
“My focus will be to strengthen the role of Sandvik Coromant as a market leader," says Ms. Blomqvist. Helen holds two patents and was awarded Sandvik Coromant Leader of the Year in 2018. Currently, Helen holds the office of Vice President for Product Management and R&D at Sandvik Coromant.
From 1st October the current President of Sandvik Coromant Nadine Crauwels was promoted as President of the new business segment in the group Sandvik Machining Solutions, and as the new member of the Sandvik Group Executive Management. The new vertical – Sandvik Machining Solutions will consist of Sandvik Coromant, Seco Tools, Walter, Dormer Pramet, and Wolfram. Master in Mechanical Engineer, Ms. Crauwels hails from Belgium.
