HD Fire Protect Limited has received UL Listing from UL Solutions Inc for its advanced deluge valve equipped with integrated pressure-reducing mechanisms. The certification follows extensive testing and evaluation conducted in accordance with relevant UL standards for fire protection equipment.

UL Solutions is an internationally recognised safety certification organisation that provides testing, inspection and certification services across a wide range of industries, including fire protection, electrical equipment and industrial safety systems. The certified product range includes the company’s VIRAT V3, VIRAT V5 and VIRAT V6 deluge valves. These valves are designed for high-risk industrial and critical infrastructure environments where rapid and reliable fire suppression systems are required.

HD Fire Protect Limited holds a design patent for the product. According to a CRISIL report, the company was the first Indian manufacturer of fire protection equipment and systems to receive UL Listing for deluge valves in 1996. The latest certification builds on that legacy by incorporating advanced pressure-reducing features into the design.

The deluge valves are manufactured using multiple material configurations to suit both onshore and offshore installations. These systems are used in sectors where high-performance fire suppression solutions are required, including energy facilities, refineries, industrial plants and large infrastructure projects.

Harish Narshi Dharamshi, Chairman and Managing Director of HD Fire Protect Limited, said the certification represents an important step in strengthening the company’s product portfolio and quality standards. He noted that the UL Listing demonstrates the company’s commitment to engineering reliability and compliance with internationally recognised safety requirements.

Mr Dharamshi added that the certification will help strengthen customer confidence and support the company’s presence in highly regulated international markets where certified fire protection equipment is required.

India’s fire protection equipment market has been expanding steadily in recent years. According to industry estimates cited in the CRISIL report, the market grew at a compound annual growth rate of around 11 percent between fiscal years 2019 and 2025, reaching approximately ₹102 billion. The sector is projected to continue growing at a similar pace between fiscal years 2025 and 2030, potentially reaching ₹165–175 billion.

HD Fire Protect Limited manufactures a wide range of fire suppression systems including water-based, foam-based and gas-based firefighting technologies. Most of the company’s products are designed and developed internally to meet both domestic and international safety standards.

The company has obtained multiple certifications from global safety organisations including UL Solutions and FM Approvals. As of September 2025, HD Fire Protect had 22 UL-listed products and 87 FM-approved certifications, the highest among fire protection equipment-focused companies in India. HD Fire Protect’s solutions have been deployed in major infrastructure and industrial facilities worldwide, including India’s space launch facility at Sriharikota, the Jamnagar refinery complex, the new Indian Parliament building, Saudi Aramco’s Ras Tanura Sea Island site and Oman’s Integrated Power and Water Plant Project.
