HCLSoftware has signed a key Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Swiss Network in India—represented by the Embassy of Switzerland, the Swiss Business Hub India, and Swissnex in India—to collaborate on the Indo-Swiss Innovation Platform. Launched under the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), the platform will focus on digital infrastructure and promote bilateral cooperation in governance technology.

The agreement aims to tackle critical public sector challenges through citizen-oriented digital transformation across areas like e-governance, healthcare, edtech, agritech, and cross-border administrative collaboration. Leveraging HCLSoftware’s experience in platforms such as HCL Total Experience, Universal Orchestrator, AppScan, and BigFix, the initiative seeks to create scalable and practical governance solutions through partnerships with government bodies, academic institutions, startups, and industry players.

Swiss Ambassador Maya Tissafi highlighted the potential of the collaboration: “This agreement strengthens ties between Switzerland and India, combining our capabilities in governance and digital innovation for public benefit.”

Jonas Brunschwig, CEO and Consul General of Swissnex in India, stated, “This partnership opens doors for tech startups, researchers, and innovators from both countries to collaborate on meaningful solutions in digital governance.” As part of the engagement, HCLSoftware will contribute its XDO (Experience, Data, Operations) Blueprint—a strategy framework developed to modernize public service delivery and improve data-driven decision-making in the public sector.

“Our involvement in this platform reflects our commitment to reimagining how governments deliver services,” said Kalyan Kumar, Chief Product Officer, HCLSoftware. “By bringing in our technologies and methodologies, we aim to co-develop citizen-first digital governance solutions that are efficient, transparent, and impactful.” This cross-border initiative is expected to help shape next-generation public sector technologies and reinforce India and Switzerland’s leadership in digital governance transformation.
