HCLFoundation has announced the winners of the 11th edition of the HCLTech Grant, reaffirming its commitment to supporting grassroots organisations working to address critical social and environmental challenges across India. The annual grant recognises non-governmental organisations (NGOs) delivering impactful, scalable solutions in the areas of water, biodiversity, health, and education.
This year’s top honours highlight projects aimed at improving access to essential services and promoting inclusive development. In the health category, a leading initiative will focus on strengthening healthcare access across 40 villages in the Mamit district, targeting underserved rural communities. In the education category, a Rajasthan-based organisation has been recognised for its efforts to promote gender equality through holistic education programmes for young women across 30 villages in Ajmer district.
In addition to the primary awardees, eight NGOs have been selected to receive grants of ₹50 lakh each to implement their proposed projects. These organisations represent diverse geographies and thematic areas. Selected NGOs include Leh Nutrition Project in Ladakh and Watershed Organisation Trust in Madhya Pradesh under the water category; Regional Centre for Development Cooperation in Odisha and South Asian Forum for Environment in West Bengal under biodiversity; EKJUT in Jharkhand and Utkarsh Welfare Foundation in Uttar Pradesh under health; and Shri Bhuvneshwari Mahila Ashram in Uttarakhand along with Youth Council for Development Alternatives in Odisha under education.
The HCLTech Grant continues to serve as a platform for enabling NGOs to expand their reach and deepen their impact, particularly in underserved and remote regions. Over the years, it has supported initiatives addressing complex development challenges through innovation, community engagement, and sustainable practices.
HCLFoundation stated that the programme aligns with broader national priorities focused on inclusive growth and long-term development. By empowering grassroots organisations, the initiative contributes to strengthening local ecosystems and advancing equitable access to resources and opportunities.
