HaveUs AeroTech, a leading aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services provider based in Gurgaon, is set to open a new MRO facility in Kolkata. This move is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its presence across India.
The new facility, located in Barrackpore, Kolkata, will be built on 2 acres of land with an investment of over Rs 50 crore. Initially, it will focus on servicing avionics, wheels, and brakes, with plans to expand into more complex component repairs and some defense-related projects in the future.
Later, the facility will be equipped to handle repairs of high-end components like radomes, auxiliary power units (APUs), and landing gears. The company also plans to hire 100-150 skilled aerospace professionals, including engineers and technicians, to support the growing demand and further develop the facility.
With few MRO facilities in Eastern India, HaveUs AeroTech sees an opportunity to cater to aircraft from neighboring Asian countries such as Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Nepal, offering affordable services. Currently, aircraft from East Asia typically go to China, Singapore, or Western nations for servicing.
