HARTING Technology Group, a global leader in industrial connectivity solutions, today announced the departure of Dr-Ing. Kurt D. Bettenhausen, the company’s Chief Technology Officer, “New Technologies and Development”, effective 1 March 2024. The decision was made by mutual agreement, and his successor will be announced shortly. Dr Bettenhausen will continue to serve the company in an advisory capacity in the ensuing months to ensure a smooth transition.
Since joining the HARTING Technology Group on 1 September 2020, Dr Bettenhausen has significantly contributed to the company’s strategic direction, pivotal in defining its innovation and technology roadmap. His leadership in product lifecycle management, quality assurance, and innovation and development, particularly internationally, has been instrumental in advancing the HARTING Technology Group’s objectives.
Under Dr. Bettenhausen’s tenure, the company has seen substantial progress in its technological and developmental initiatives, reinforcing its position as a forerunner in the industrial connectivity sector. The HARTING Technology Group, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation across various industries, including transportation, electromobility, renewable energy production, automation, and mechanical engineering, continues to maintain a strong global presence with over 6,200 employees, 44 sales companies, 15 production facilities, and six development sites worldwide. The 2022/23 business year, the family-owned and managed company reported sales of EUR 1,036 million.
