The HARTING Technology Group continues to strengthen its presence in India with the inauguration of a new technology center in Bangalore, often referred to as India’s ‘Silicon Valley’. This follows the company’s earlier expansions, including a sales office in Chennai in 2005 and a production facility in 2022. The new center will focus on research and development to meet the growing demand for advanced connector solutions in the region, particularly within the rapidly expanding Asian market.
“We aim to become a global company,” said Philip Harting, CEO of HARTING Technology Group. The 7,000-square-meter facility is designed to offer a platform for talented professionals in the technology sector to drive the development of connectivity solutions for industries such as manufacturing, transport, and telecommunications.
“With our latest venture in India, we are advancing our internationalization strategy. The opening of this technology center aligns with our ‘In the Region for the Region’ approach and moves us closer to becoming a global leader in connector and cable solutions,” Harting added.
The center will be supported by a dedicated core team focused on innovation and global IT solutions, and will provide training opportunities for future engineers and technology specialists. HARTING India, in addition to its headquarters in Chennai, also operates sales offices in Bangalore, Pune, and Noida.
Jacob Chandy, Managing Director of HARTING India, emphasized the importance of Bangalore’s technical ecosystem and skilled workforce in the company’s continued growth. “This center will enhance our R&D capabilities and strengthen our collaboration with local partners and customers. Innovation is key to staying competitive in today’s market, and this center will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality connection solutions,” he said.
Alongside Philip Harting, the opening ceremony was attended by Mabel Low, Managing Director of HARTING Singapore and APAC, and Jacob Chandy.
