HARTING Technology Group has joined the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem as a power system component provider for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platform. The company will supply power whip solutions designed to support the changing power distribution requirements of AI data centres. HARTING’s solutions connect a building’s power infrastructure to individual data centre racks. As artificial intelligence workloads grow and computing systems require more power, reliable and scalable power distribution is becoming increasingly important for data centre operators.

The company’s offerings support two generations of NVIDIA MGX power architecture. These include a 100A/480VAC power whip for the 3RU 110kW power shelf used with the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platform and a next-generation 157A/800 VDC DC-DC power whip designed to connect power infrastructure to compute racks. The development supports the industry’s transition from 480 VAC systems towards an 800 VDC architecture. The shift is intended to address rising power requirements as AI factories increase computing capacity and rack density.

Philip Harting, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of HARTING Technology Group, said the company’s inclusion in the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem builds on its experience in connectivity systems used in demanding environments, including rolling stock and automotive applications. He said the growth of AI was changing data centre infrastructure and that HARTING’s engineering capabilities would support the development of systems needed for the next generation of computing facilities.

Christian Gysin, Chief Technology Officer and Member of the Executive Board at HARTING Technology Group, said higher computing power and rack densities were requiring changes in the way data centres distribute electricity. He added that the transition towards 800 VDC would require connectivity systems capable of handling higher power levels while maintaining reliability, safety and scalability.

HARTING said it would draw on its experience in industrial connectivity, global engineering operations and vertically integrated manufacturing to address these requirements. Its products are used to transmit power, data and signals across industrial applications, including transportation, electric mobility, automation, mechanical engineering and renewable energy systems.

As part of the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem, HARTING will be featured on the NVIDIA AI Factory MGX Ecosystem wall at the OCP Global Summit 2026. The company will also display two power whip solutions designed for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platform at its booth, C79.

HARTING Technology Group provides industrial connectivity solutions for power, data and signal transmission. The family-owned company has more than 7,000 employees across 42 sales companies, 13 production facilities and seven research and development sites. Its products serve industries including transportation, e-mobility, automation, mechanical engineering and renewable energy. HARTING reported sales of €1.1 billion in the 2024/25 financial year.
