Telecom equipment manufacturer GX Group has acquired Ping Communication, a Switzerland-based broadband and fiber solution provider, in a move aimed at expanding its reach across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, the company announced on Friday. Paritosh Prajapati, CEO of GX Group, explained that the acquisition will enable the company to integrate its “Made in India” products with Ping Communication’s existing offerings, boosting revenue projections to USD 50 million (approximately Rs 430 crore) in the Latin American (LATAM) region within the next two years.

However, the financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Prajapati further mentioned that Ping Communication’s revenue currently stands at around USD 30 million, and with the new product offerings, the goal is to grow this figure to USD 50 million by 2026.

Ping Communication, part of Norway’s Heimgard Group, has built a solid reputation over the past 20 years, providing broadband gateways, VoIP adapters, fiber CPEs, and remote monitoring systems. The company is a significant player in the LATAM broadband market, serving major clients such as TELMEX and America Movil (AMX). This acquisition is a key step in GX Group’s “Make in India for the World” strategy, with a particular focus on the high-volume Fiber To The Home (FTTH) markets in LATAM.

This acquisition positions GX Group as a dominant force in the LATAM broadband revolution, with plans to deploy WiFi 6, WiFi 7, cloud-managed CPEs, and AI-powered OSS platforms across both open access and private operator networks. GX Group, formerly known as Genexis, was established in 2002 and rebranded in 2018. The company expanded its operations across India in 2013, following the acquisition of Ericsson’s end-user equipment division.
