Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd, a prominent player in the automotive products and lubricants industry, has announced a strategic alliance with Nayara Energy, India’s largest private fuel retailer. This partnership will make Gulf’s full range of automotive lubricants—including products for two-wheelers, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and agricultural machinery—available at over 6,500 Nayara Energy fuel outlets nationwide.
The collaboration, which spans a three-year agreement, aims to strengthen Gulf Oil’s footprint in the Indian market, leveraging Nayara’s extensive retail network. Gulf’s AdBlue, a high-quality diesel exhaust fluid designed to reduce emissions, will be the exclusive AdBlue product sold at Nayara stations. This partnership also introduces Gulf’s specialized two-wheeler battery range to the network, broadening both companies’ product offerings.
With manufacturing facilities in Silvassa and Chennai, Gulf Oil has a production capacity of 332,000 KL for lubricants and AdBlue. The company operates in more than 100 countries and partners with over 40 OEMs.
Ravi Chawla, Managing Director and CEO of Gulf Oil Lubricants India, highlighted the collaboration’s importance, stating that it will expand Gulf’s presence across urban and rural markets while catering to the growing demand for high-quality automotive products in India’s rapidly developing highway infrastructure.
Nayara Energy’s Chief Marketing Officer, Madhur Taneja, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing its customer service offerings through initiatives like Quick Lube Change Bays, which provide free lube change services in under five minutes. The partnership aligns with Nayara’s focus on growing its Non-Fuel Retail segment by offering premium automotive products.
India’s evolving highway network, fueled by projects like the Golden Quadrilateral, presents significant opportunities for automotive and fuel retailing. This collaboration between Gulf Oil and Nayara Energy aims to capitalize on this potential by providing high-quality solutions for both commercial and personal vehicle owners. Joint promotional activities and marketing initiatives at Nayara stations will further reinforce the partnership’s reach and consumer engagement.
