Gruner Renewable Energy, a leader in India’s renewable energy sector, has appointed Ajmal Singh Kathat as its new Executive Vice President. With over 36 years of experience in security, intelligence, and resource management, Ajmal brings valuable expertise to Gruner’s leadership team, enhancing the company’s focus on security and operational excellence in the renewable energy industry.
Ajmal began his career in 1984 after joining the Border Security Force (BSF) as an Assistant Commandant, eventually rising to the rank of Inspector General. Throughout his tenure, he played a key role in managing operations along India’s strategic borders and earned prestigious awards, including the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Services in 2011 and the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2018. Notably, he was tasked with overseeing operations in Kashmir during the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35(A), ensuring the effective implementation of government policies.
Following his retirement, Ajmal transitioned into consultancy roles, offering his expertise to various organizations including ATZ SS Corps Limited and AYE Cart Fintech Pvt. Ltd. He has expertise in strategic leadership, security and intelligence operations, and resource management, all of which will be critical in supporting Gruner Renewable Energy’s projects.
Ajmal’s appointment will strengthen Gruner’s commitment to delivering secure and efficient renewable energy solutions, with a focus on advancing the company’s initiatives in biogas production and other sustainable energy ventures.
