Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has entered into a strategic partnership with Medha Servo Drives through a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to co-manufacture advanced electrical and electronic equipment for naval and commercial platforms, combining GRSE’s extensive shipbuilding expertise with Medha Servo Drives’ technological capabilities. The agreement will focus on producing control and monitoring systems, electrical propulsion systems, and other essential components.
Following the announcement, GRSE’s stock price experienced a significant surge, hitting the 5% upper circuit limit at Rs 2,438.10. This marks a remarkable year-to-date growth of 178.91%, reflecting investor confidence in the potential benefits of this partnership. Although the financial specifics of the MoU were not disclosed, the market’s positive response underscores the anticipated value addition from this collaboration.
GRSE, operating under the Ministry of Defence, has a rich history of contributing to India’s maritime defense by delivering 109 warships.
