Grew Energy Pvt. Ltd., a leading sustainability brand in India, has secured a lion’s share in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) auction by winning a 200 MW contract. The contract awarded to Grew Energy involves the testing, packaging, forwarding, supplying, and transporting of solar PV modules.
Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director of Grew Energy expressed confidence in the company’s ability to meet the demands of the contract, stating, “We are equipped with the technology and have the bandwidth to contribute to multiple solar projects across the country.”
Known for its domestically manufactured solar cells and modules, Grew Energy stands out as one of the few manufacturers capable of supplying domestically made solar PV modules. The tender, issued in December 2023 by SECI, outlines the requirement for the supply of uniform-sized crystalline technology modules to various locations across the country by SECI guidelines. The delivery timeline for the product and its spare parts is set over a nine-month duration.
The evaluated bid price has been finalized at Rs 22.66 per Watt peak (Wp) for all three bidders, establishing a standardized rate for the supply of modules and setting a precedent for upcoming auctions.
With this successful bid, Grew Energy reaffirms its commitment to the “Make in India” initiative and aims to solidify its position as a market leader in providing highly efficient end-to-end solar solutions. Founded in 2022, Grew Energy is dedicated to advancing India’s vision of becoming a renewable energy powerhouse through its innovative solar solutions.
