Greenzo Energy India Limited (GEIL) has partnered with France’s EODev (Energy Observer Developments) to introduce EODev’s GEH2® hydrogen fuel cell-powered generators, featuring Toyota technology, in India and Nepal, with plans for broader regional expansion. This collaboration marks the debut of Toyota’s advanced hydrogen fuel cell technology in South Asia.

As India’s sole manufacturer of 100% indigenous alkaline electrolyzers, Greenzo Energy will handle the distribution and maintenance of EODev’s zero-emission hydrogen generators, targeting high-demand sectors like agriculture, telecom, and transportation. These generators will replace traditional diesel units, aligning with India’s goal to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels. The partnership also includes provisions for local assembly of EODev’s products, supporting India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, creating green jobs, and strengthening the country’s hydrogen ecosystem.

Sandeep Agarwal, Founder and Managing Director of Greenzo Energy, commented, “We are proud to bring Toyota-powered hydrogen fuel cell generators to South Asia through our partnership with EODev. This venture will help replace fossil fuels with cleaner alternatives, benefiting the environment while creating significant business opportunities across Indian industries. Our deep technical expertise and understanding of the product were key factors in our selection as EODev’s partner. By integrating green hydrogen production through our own electrolyzers, we ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain for this advanced technology.” He further noted that EODev’s solutions have garnered strong interest from telecom, defense, and government sectors. Greenzo is projecting a $10 million business potential in the first year.

EODev CEO, Jérémie Lagarrigue, added, “We are excited to partner with Greenzo to introduce our hydrogen fuel cell generators to India. This partnership represents a significant step forward in our expansion into this crucial market, where reliable and clean energy solutions are vital for a successful energy transition. We are confident in Greenzo’s ability to promote and support the deployment of our technologies throughout India, and we look forward to working together to build a more sustainable future.”

The collaboration aims to reshape India’s renewable energy landscape, combining EODev’s global expertise and Greenzo Energy’s local capabilities to drive the country’s transition to zero-emission power systems. This effort supports India’s broader push to become a leader in sustainable hydrogen energy and advances the National Green Hydrogen Mission.

Founded in 2021, Greenzo Energy focuses on green hydrogen energy solutions, developing, owning, and operating renewable energy infrastructure to provide zero-emission energy services. The company has extensive experience in renewable energy projects and has completed over 2,000 MW of solar installations globally. Greenzo Energy’s commitment to innovation and self-reliance plays a key role in India’s green energy ambitions, aiming to position the country as a global hub for green hydrogen production.

EODev, a French industrial company founded in 2019, specializes in the design and industrialization of zero-emission power generation systems.
