GreenH Electrolysis, a joint venture of H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies and GR Promoter Group, has introduced its first 1 MW PEM Electrolyser at its Jhajjar plant in Haryana. The launch event was attended by key figures, including Vinod Agarwal, Chairman and Director of GR Infraprojects Ltd., Anselmo Andrade, CEO of H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies, and Romen Rawat, Chief Project Manager of Hydrogen Trainset at Indian Railways.

This electrolyser is set to be deployed at a hydrogen production and refueling station in Jind, Haryana, to support India’s first hydrogen-powered train under Indian Railways’ “Hydrogen for Heritage” initiative. The system will produce approximately 430 kg of hydrogen daily, operating 24/7 at a pressure of 40 bar, meeting ISO 14687 standards for Fuel Cell applications. The station will feature 3,000 kg of hydrogen storage, a hydrogen compressor, and two dispensers, facilitating efficient refueling.

GreenH CEO Dhiman Roy expressed pride in the launch, highlighting the achievement as a step towards contributing to India’s “Make in India” and energy transition goals. He noted that this development underscores the company’s role in India’s green hydrogen initiatives.

Anselmo Andrade praised GreenH for the unveiling, emphasizing H2B2’s support and commitment to driving India’s renewable hydrogen demand. Ashwin Agarwal, Director at GR Promoter Group, also commended the growth of India’s green hydrogen sector, describing the electrolyser’s development for the Indian Railways project as a key milestone.

With strong government backing and growing interest in green hydrogen, GreenH Electrolysis is poised to support India’s decarbonization and energy transition objectives. The company manufactures a range of electrolysers and offers green hydrogen solutions, working to shape a sustainable energy future for the country.
