Green Power International Pvt Ltd has been awarded a 384 Track Kilometre (TKM) overhead electrification contract by South Eastern Railway for the Adra Division. The scope of work includes upgrading the existing electric traction system from 1×25 kV to 2×25 kV across the Asansol–Adra–Bhojudih–Dhanbad section. The company will handle the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the system in line with standards issued by RDSO and CORE.
The project is aimed at increasing traction power capacity to support freight movement of up to 3,000 million tonnes and enabling train speeds of up to 160 kmph. The upgraded system is expected to improve operational efficiency while supporting Indian Railways’ electrification and capacity enhancement plans.
Green Power International was selected based on its experience in executing complex railway electrification and system upgradation projects. The company has previously worked with multiple railway divisions across India.

Past projects include electrification works for the Kota and Ratlam Divisions, Malda Division under Eastern Railway, and Izzatnagar Division of North Eastern Railway. The company continues to maintain a strong execution record through experienced teams and structured project management processes.
