Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited (GEMPL), part of Greaves Cotton Limited’s electric mobility segment, has formed a partnership with Shriram Finance, a financial services provider under the Shriram Group. This collaboration seeks to enhance the accessibility of Greaves Electric Mobility’s three-wheelers by providing customized financing options, which include varied down payment choices and flexible EMI plans.
Utilizing Shriram Finance’s extensive nationwide network, the partnership aims to bolster last-mile mobility solutions for both passenger and cargo services. This initiative aligns with Greaves Electric Mobility’s mission to promote the adoption of electric vehicles through its range of three-wheelers, including models such as Greaves 3 Wheelers, Eltra City, and Eltra Cargo, to consumers across India.
The agreement was finalized with the involvement of K Vijaya Kumar, Executive Director and CEO of Greaves Electric Mobility; Chandrasekar R, Joint Managing Director of Shriram Finance; and Gopinath TA, Assistant Vice President of Shriram Finance.
K Vijaya Kumar emphasized that accessible financing is crucial for promoting the use of three-wheelers for last-mile mobility in India, enabling customers with varying budgets to consider sustainable transportation options. He noted that these partnerships offer diverse down payment options and competitive EMI plans, contributing to the goal of establishing India as a hub for electric vehicles while also improving the livelihoods of drivers.
Gopinath TA highlighted that this partnership aims to improve mobility access for last-mile transportation of both passengers and cargo across various fuel types. This collaboration is a significant step in Greaves Electric Mobility’s efforts to broaden the availability and affordability of three-wheeler mobility solutions throughout India.
