Infrastructure company GR Infraprojects Ltd announced that it has received a letter of intent (LoI) from PFC Consulting Ltd for the transmission scheme aimed at integrating Bijapur REZ (renewable energy zone). The project, which is set in Karnataka, involves establishing a 400/220 KV, 5×500 MVA pooling station near Bijapur (Vijayapura), constructing a 400 KV line between Bijapur PS and Raichur, and adding two 400 KV line bays at Raichur New. The estimated transmission cost stands at ₹107.7 crore annually under a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) model. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months.
Recently, GR Infraprojects was also awarded a ₹903.5-crore contract from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for the design and construction of an elevated metro viaduct in Nagpur. This includes a 17.6 km stretch with special railway spans of 79 and 100 meters each and a 1.14 km, six-lane double-decker portion with a vehicular underpass as part of Reach-1A in the Nagpur Metro Rail Project’s second phase.
