GPS Renewables and Nimaya Collaborate to Equip Rural Women with Skills for Green Industry Careers

GPS Renewables (GPSR), a global leader in biogas engineering, has partnered with Nimaya, a non-profit organization focused on career acceleration for women, to empower women from rural areas with vital skills for success in modern workplaces. The collaboration aims to provide these women with opportunities in the green energy sector by offering specialized soft skills training. The program focuses on developing workplace skills, leadership, digital proficiency, and other essential capabilities, alongside job placement support. The first session took place at GPS Renewables’ facility in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh.

Nimaya, co-founded by Navya Naveli Nanda and Samyak Chakrabarty, is a non-profit career accelerator that helps women overcome barriers to build meaningful careers. To date, Nimaya has transformed the careers of over 3,000 women, partnering with organizations like Mumbai Police, Ashoka University, and Escorts Kubota.

GPS Renewables specializes in biofuel development, production, and distribution, focusing on replacing fossil fuels with cleaner alternatives like CBG (Compressed Biogas), RNG (Renewable Natural Gas), and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel). The company has established over 100 biogas plants, including Asia’s largest RNG facility in Indore, inaugurated by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. GPS Renewables continues to innovate, most recently acquiring ProwepsEnvirotech GmbH, a German company specializing in biogas production from organic waste and agricultural residue.
