Godrej Storage Solutions (GSS), a leader in storage systems, will build a new facility near Chennai. They will spend ₹350-400 crore over the next 2-3 years. GSS, part of Godrej & Boyce, makes pallets and shelves at their 27-acre site in Ambattur Industrial Estate.
They are using 75% of their capacity, making 90,000 tonnes of steel per month, and will reach full capacity in 18 months. Vikas Choudaha, GSS Executive Vice President, said the new facility will be slightly bigger and built in phases. They are looking for land within 100 km of Chennai.
In FY24, GSS earned ₹1,000 crore. They expect revenue to stay the same in FY25 due to lower steel prices. GSS aims to grow exports by 20% and increase exports from 20% to 30%, targeting ₹500 crore in export revenue by FY27 out of a total of ₹1,600-1,700 crore.
