Godrej Industries reported a significant 81.1% increase in profit for the first quarter of FY25, reaching ₹322.49 crore, up from ₹178.06 crore in the same period last year. Despite the profit surge, the company’s revenue from operations declined by 5.7% year-on-year to ₹4,247.93 crore, compared to ₹4,505.66 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The company’s EBITDA rose by 38.5% year-on-year to ₹333 crore. In the Home Care segment, growth was recorded at 8%, with stable low single-digit growth in Household Insecticides due to heatwave impacts, while Air Fresheners and Fabric Care saw strong double-digit growth.
The Personal Care segment grew by 6%, with stable volume growth in Personal Wash and flat volumes in Hair Colours, which continued to gain market share. Brands like Park Avenue and KamaSutra maintained healthy sales, contributing ₹153 crore in sales.
In the Chemicals segment, Godrej Industries posted consolidated revenue of ₹731.97 crore for Q1, with exports reaching ₹214 crore. The Real Estate arm, Godrej Properties, achieved the highest quarterly booking value and volume among listed developers in India for the second consecutive quarter, with a 283% increase in booking value to ₹8,637 crore.
The business added two group housing projects in Pune and Bengaluru, with an estimated booking value of ₹3,000 crore. Godrej Agrovet Limited reported total income of ₹2,360 crore and a net profit of ₹135 crore during the quarter. The Animal Feed segment experienced volume growth challenges due to subdued milk prices, but margins increased by 45% compared to the previous year.
The Vegetable Oil segment saw lower revenues due to reduced Fresh Fruit Bunch arrivals and lower oil extraction ratios. The Crop Protection business reported consolidated revenues of ₹365 crore, while the Dairy business maintained flat revenue with significant margin improvement due to better operational efficiencies.
