Godrej & Boyce, the aerospace arm of Godrej Enterprises Group, is reinforcing its commitment to India’s self-reliance in aerospace and defence by signing multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at Aero India 2025, Bengaluru. These agreements aim to support national defence programs backed by the Government of India.

Among the key collaborations, Godrej & Boyce has signed an MoU with the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Ministry of Defence, to indigenously manufacture Flight Control Actuators for India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. Building on a two-decade partnership with the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Godrej Enterprises Group is set to expand its role in aerospace innovation. This collaboration has already contributed to the development of flight-critical DDV-based servo actuators and other essential aerospace components.

Under the newly signed MoU, Godrej will take charge of precision manufacturing of flight control actuators, sourcing aerospace-grade raw materials, assembling and testing critical components, and developing test rigs for qualification processes. This initiative strengthens India’s self-reliance in aerospace technology and reinforces its position as a hub for high-end defense manufacturing.

Godrej & Boyce is shifting from ‘Built to Print’ to ‘Built to Spec’ manufacturing, integrating 3D printing and advanced machining technologies to optimize production efficiency. The use of additive manufacturing enables the fabrication of complex aerospace components in a single process, eliminating multiple traditional stages and enhancing operational effectiveness.

The company is accredited by DGAQA, DRDO labs, ISRO centers, HAL, BDL, BEL, and works with global aerospace leaders including Boeing, GE Aerospace, Honeywell, IAI, Parker Aerospace, Rafael, Rolls-Royce, and Safran. At Aero India 2025, Godrej & Boyce is showcasing its cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing expertise, highlighting its capability to produce advanced aero engine components such as fans, compressors, turbines, and shafts crafted from high-performance materials. The exhibit also features precision-engineered tubes, ducts, and brackets made from Titanium, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel, demonstrating the company’s proficiency in aerospace-grade metallurgy.

Additionally, Godrej & Boyce is presenting its indigenously developed Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), including actuators, nose-wheel steering manifolds, lubrication pumps, and uplocks, reinforcing its commitment to indigenous defense manufacturing. The display also includes a working model of an Ejector Release Unit (ERU) for aircraft pylons and carbon fiber composite components designed for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), underlining the company’s innovation in lightweight, high-strength aerospace solutions.

Speaking on the partnership, Maneck Behramkamdin, Senior Vice President & Business Head, Aerospace at Godrej & Boyce, stated “This collaboration reinforces our dedication to Atmanirbhar Bharat in aerospace and defence. We take pride in leading India’s aerospace revolution through cutting-edge engineering and precision manufacturing. Our mission is to elevate India’s manufacturing capabilities and global competitiveness.”
