Godrej Enterprises Group has partnered with Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Maharashtra to modernize their infrastructure and update training curricula to better align with industry requirements. This initiative aims to upgrade the physical infrastructure of ITIs, revamp the curriculum with practical, industry-specific knowledge, and offer hands-on experience to bridge the skills gap in India’s manufacturing and engineering sectors.

The collaboration will also introduce Internet of Things (IoT) modules in selected cities, including Mumbai, Raigad, and Satara, and involves a public-private partnership (PPP) model through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ITI Karjat and other institutes.

Ashwini Deodeshmukh, Head of CSR and Sustainability Reporting at Godrej Enterprises Group, commented, “This partnership is part of our vision to prepare India’s youth for the future, especially in areas where support is most needed. By providing access to modern infrastructure and industry-relevant skills, we’re empowering young people to succeed in an evolving job market.”

As part of the modernization, new facilities like CNC simulation labs will be set up, and training programs will include emerging technologies such as robotics, automation, IoT, and Industry 4.0. Over 1,500 students are expected to directly benefit from the program, gaining essential skills that are in high demand in today’s and tomorrow’s industries.
