Godrej Enterprises Group

Godrej Enterprises Group Energy Solutions division has unveiled plans to significantly expand its power infrastructure business, focusing on renewable energy projects across key Indian states. With an emphasis on Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh, the company aims to contribute to India’s clean energy transition while targeting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 20% over the next 3-5 years. This growth will be driven by investments in Extra High Voltage Power Transmission Projects up to 765kV and an expanding portfolio in solar power and green energy infrastructure.

Raghavendra Mirji, Executive Vice President & Business Head of the Energy Solutions division, stated, “India’s ambitious climate goals are creating a unique opportunity for transformation in the energy sector. We are committed to contributing to this transition by investing in key power infrastructure projects and renewable energy solutions across critical states. Our goal is to reduce carbon emissions, foster energy independence, and help shape India’s energy future.”

Godrej Enterprises Group has already made significant strides in Maharashtra, where it recently launched a 25MW AC solar project in partnership with Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MahaGenco). In Gujarat, the company is executing major 765kV GIS and 400kV GIS substation projects in Khavda, aligning with the state’s goal of achieving 50% renewable energy capacity by 2030. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh is working towards generating half of its electricity from renewables by 2030, with Godrej’s 12.5MWp rooftop solar project in the state becoming one of the largest installations in India.

The company has also made notable progress in Rajasthan and Haryana with successful solar rooftop projects for industries and large-scale greenfield substation projects to support renewable energy generation. Moving forward, Godrej Enterprises will focus on designing and constructing solar power plants, as well as building high-voltage substations to efficiently transfer power from renewable energy sources. With a strategic focus on these key states, the company is poised to strengthen its role in supporting India’s renewable energy infrastructure and contribute to the country’s goal of achieving 500GW of non-fossil fuel-based power by 2030.
