Godrej & Boyce announced the acquisition of Armes Maini, a manufacturer of storage shelving systems and mezzanine structures. This acquisition includes Armes Maini’s 20,000-tonne production facility in Bengaluru, which will enhance Godrej & Boyce’s intra-logistics capabilities to meet growing market demands.

The company highlighted that the acquisition comes at a pivotal moment as the logistics industry experiences rapid growth, driven by changing consumption patterns and the rise of quick commerce platforms. Godrej & Boyce did not disclose the financial details of the acquisition.

Vikas Choudaha, Executive Vice President and Business Head of Storage Solutions at Godrej Enterprises, noted that with only 40% of current warehousing facilities in India classified as Grade A, there is a pressing need for advanced, sustainable solutions to improve infrastructure quality. Godrej & Boyce currently holds a 30% market share in the country’s storage solution sector.

“Our expanded capacity will enable us to address the increasing demand for sophisticated warehousing solutions, particularly from the booming e-commerce and quick commerce sectors,” added Choudaha.
