Godrej Appliances, a business unit of Godrej & Boyce, has significantly bolstered its Research and Development (R&D) capabilities with the expansion of its R&D facility at Pirangut, Pune. The newly inaugurated R&D Centre Annexe, opened by Jamshyd N. Godrej, Chairman & Managing Director of Godrej & Boyce, aims to more than double the company’s existing capacity for in-house developmental and testing labs, underscoring its commitment to innovation, quality, and technological advancement.
The extended facility, encompassing an additional 43,000 sq ft, will also enable Godrej Appliances to potentially double its R&D manpower. The center boasts NABL-accredited labs and advanced state-of-the-art infrastructure, which will enhance the efficiency and robustness of the product development process. Designed with sustainability in mind, the building maximizes the use of natural light to significantly reduce electricity costs. The open office space is intended to foster collaboration, learning, and knowledge sharing, promoting a culture of celebration and transparency.
