On World EV Day, Godawari Electric Motors made headlines by unveiling the eblu Cety, an auto-shaped electric rickshaw designed to cater to the growing need for eco-friendly urban transportation. With an attractive price tag of Rs 1,99,999, the eblu Cety has already generated significant interest, securing more than 100 advance bookings.
This innovative vehicle aims to offer a sustainable and efficient transport solution, accommodating a driver and up to four passengers, making it ideal for urban environments where compact and efficient mobility is crucial.
The eblu Cety boasts practical dimensions tailored for city commuting. Its wheelbase measures 2170mm, while the vehicle’s width is 993mm, length 2795mm, and height 1782mm. This design allows for easy navigation through narrow urban streets and tight spaces, while its ground clearance of 240mm ensures the vehicle can tackle various terrains typically encountered in cities, including uneven roads and minor obstacles.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with an automatic wiper system to improve visibility during adverse weather conditions, further enhancing its appeal as a reliable urban transport solution. In terms of performance, the eblu Cety is designed to be energy-efficient while meeting the demands of everyday commuting. The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 25 km/h, making it suitable for city traffic.
With a single charge, the eblu Cety offers an impressive driving range of around 95 km, which is more than enough for daily use in urban areas. It also incorporates a regenerative braking system, a feature that helps improve overall energy efficiency by capturing and converting braking energy into usable power. The vehicle also boasts gradeability, allowing it to handle inclines with ease.
The eblu Cety is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a voltage of 51.2V and a capacity of 100Ah, ensuring reliable and consistent power. The electric motor delivers a peak power of 1.6kW and a peak torque of 20Nm, providing sufficient power for city driving. The vehicle is equipped with both forward and reverse modes, along with ergonomic seating for a comfortable driving experience.
An optional navigation system is also available, adding to the convenience of users. Godawari Electric Motors offers a 12-month or 20,000 km warranty on the eblu Cety, with additional coverage for the battery and charger lasting three years or 80,000 km. Charging the vehicle is simple and efficient, thanks to the included home charger, which fully charges the battery in just 4 hours and 30 minutes.
The exterior of the eblu Cety features a durable front body made of DCPD material and a rear body constructed from sheet metal, ensuring the vehicle is both lightweight and sturdy. The suspension system is designed for comfort and stability, featuring a dual front fork with telescopic shock absorbers and a leaf spring setup at the rear. For braking, the eblu Cety relies on a mechanical drum brake system, and it rides on 3.75×12 inch, 4PR tires, offering both stability and excellent road grip.
