Global Shop Solutions is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Trent Maynard, whose journey from the shop floor to Director of Product & Engineering reflects a decade of hands-on leadership and forward-looking innovation. Since joining the company in 2016, Mr Maynard has played a pivotal role in advancing the family-owned ERP provider’s technology strategy and strengthening its commitment to manufacturers worldwide.
Beginning his career at Global Shop Solutions as an Operations & Technical Consultant, Mr Maynard brought practical manufacturing experience rarely found in the ERP software sector. His firsthand understanding of shop floor realities shaped his approach across multiple roles in customer service and research and development. In each position, he focused on improving system performance, refining user experience and aligning product capabilities with real-world manufacturing demands.
Today, as Director of Product & Engineering, Mr Maynard leads the company’s artificial intelligence strategy. He spearheaded the creation of Genii, the company’s unified AI initiative embedded across the ERP platform. Genii is designed to enhance how manufacturers interact with their data, automate workflows and make informed decisions with greater speed and confidence.
Under Mr Maynard’s leadership, Global Shop Solutions has modernized its technology stack, expanded system integration capabilities and introduced AI testing tools and governance standards that support ongoing innovation. These efforts ensure the platform continues to deliver speed, stability, reliability and security while adapting to the evolving digital landscape of manufacturing.
