GH2 Solar announced on Thursday that it has won a major project to establish a 105 MW electrolyser manufacturing facility, awarded by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project will receive a subsidy of Rs 157.5 crore under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
In a statement, GH2 Solar Pvt Ltd confirmed its success in a highly competitive bidding process. “Securing this 105 MW electrolyser manufacturing capacity marks a significant step in India’s journey towards a green hydrogen economy,” the company stated. The project, expected to be completed by 2030, is crucial for achieving India’s goal of producing 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually and reaching 280 GW of solar power capacity.
“This initiative will not only advance our technological capabilities but also create jobs, boost local economic development, and help build a skilled workforce in the renewable energy sector,” said Anurag Jain, Director of GH2 Solar.
