Rehau Group, a leading German polymer manufacturer, has acquired a 51% stake in Red Star Polymers Pvt Ltd, an Indian polymer processing company. The acquisition marks Rehau’s entry into India’s growing polymer market. Red Star Polymers, based in Pune, specializes in manufacturing polymer products for various industries, including automotive, industrial, and construction.
“The Indian market offers tremendous growth opportunities, and this partnership will enable us to expand our presence,” said Dr. Veit Wagner, Rehau’s Regional Manager for Asia-Pacific. Red Star Polymers’ founders will retain a 49% stake and continue to manage the company’s operations.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed within the next few months. Rehau aims to leverage Red Star Polymers’ expertise and network to increase its market share in India.
The company plans to invest in expanding Red Star’s manufacturing capacity and enhancing its product offerings. “This partnership will enable us to offer high-quality polymer products to our customers,” said Rajendra Bhogale, Managing Director, Red Star Polymers.
