Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd, a leading smart meter manufacturer, announced on Tuesday, August 20, that its wholly-owned subsidiary has won three major contracts valued at ₹3,608.52 crore (excluding taxes).
These contracts involve the appointment of Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISPs) to design, supply, install, and commission Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems across various regions.
The projects include the deployment of approximately 4.26 million smart prepaid meters and system meters, including Distribution Transformer (DT) meters. The contracts also cover comprehensive Facility Management Services (FMS) to ensure ongoing support and energy accounting under a Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOOT) model.

With these new contracts, Genus Power’s total order book, including all special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and the GIC Platform, now stands at around ₹28,000 crore (excluding taxes). The contracts, which span 8 to 10 years, offer strong visibility into the company’s future growth prospects.
